Actuarial Development Contracting in RAFM
Morrissey Actuarial Development is a small, privately held limited company. We are based in the UK and offer Actuarial Development contracting in RAFM. Our main clients are UK Life Insurers. These services are usually on a day-rate contract basis. Our company was set up in mid-2020. The core technologies we work with are Risk Agility Financial Modeller (RAFM) and Microsoft Excel. This includes advanced level Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) coding and Power Query (including coding in M).
Why Us?
A key area that sets us apart from other developers is our ability and experience with other lower level languages. Examples include C++ and C#. As a general rule just about anyone can learn to code – doing it well is much harder. Our high level goal is to provide solutions which are:
- Simple – the more complex a solution is … the more things there are to go wrong;
- Clear – well written code should be easy to follow, understand and explain;
- Maintainable – poorly written code has to be fixed, maintained and updated a lot. This costs time and money;
Freelance Services
In addition to Actuarial Development contracting in RAFM, we are open to smaller freelance type projects. Examples of freelance projects might include research on specific areas, code development in non-Actuarial technologies or writing content for websites and publications. Get in touch for more info!
